Earlier today, the Ukranian Embassy’s Twitter account announced that they were raising donations using cryptocurrency, a highly anticipated move that was cheered on by many.

Earlier in the day, Vitalik, founder of Ethereum tweeted that this may have been a scam, but later corrected saying that he confirmed with the Ukrainian embassy that this was in fact a legitimate fundraiser.

Tomical Tilleman responded to Vitalik confirming the legitimacy of the fundraiser, so as of now this seems to be legitimate and much needed.
